Really.
One of the main reasons, although often whispered to spouses and close friends, many parents send their kids to private school is because we all want our kids to be successful and we think an Ivy League education will give them more opportunities for success.

The truth about this economy is that it's tough on everyone, private elementary and high schools included.
Private schools are seeing two crucial items dip, their enrollments numbers and their endowments. In tough times, some people see private education as an extra. For other parents, this economy reinforces their commitment to it.

According to an article in for McClatchy Newspapers, Iraq is seeing a surge in private schools. There were 66 private schools two years ago compared to 175 this year. Under Sadam, private schools were not allowed. However the jump of private schools is not just about being allowed to have them. So...why all the new private schools?
